    1. Aw, Lucy has an older brother Nemo, box turtle. He's in the garden too but invisible with his camouflage. Does Pete gulp/bob when happy? Lucy bobs a lot :)

    1. She doesn't bite...loves to be hand fed though. Just keep fingers away from where she grabs. She'll gently take treats from my open palm. My baby.

  10. ha - i got bitten by a tortoise once when i was a kid (own fault - ha) but that taught me the lesson that even those without visible teeth are able to bite - ha - smiles.... and bet she's happy with that cute frog umbrella in the shade

    1. No teeth, but their beaks are sharp when young. They get filed down when gnawing on cuttle bone. Had a few ouchies when she mistook my finger for food. Not intentional and I don't think they can see too well. No blood drawn. But some of those galapagos might but a dent in an arm ;-O
