Monday Mornings With Mary
Mary at Notre Dame
overlooks the Paris garden
awaiting the vespers
When we were in Paris last September, my body quit a block before Notre Dame. I stayed in one spot on rock ledge while Brian took photos. He was in the garden but didn't take this photo. I recalled knowing there had to be a Mary with Notre Dame but just could walk no longer. Am sure this would be even more impressive if I had seen her.

ReplyDeleteThis statue is a very favorite of mine. I have never seen it in person
ReplyDeleteand probably never will, but it she looks so like a Queen. I am always awe-struck by her.
Grace, I didn't realize we lived so near each other.
I am in Palmyra.

Holy cow, Priti, I'll be there tomorrow nite. I go there for my acupuncture. Hubby born and raised there and all his family there. Yes, we are a stone's throw away, as "they" say. The Hershey Pantry is my favorite restaurant. Maybe we could meet one day over tea and dessert or whatever.
Deletesadly i know too well hitting the limits of my earthly body before i reach such heavenly goals.
ReplyDeletethank you for allowing me to sit beside you on the path through the garden.
I have been to Notre Dame in Paris twice and every time I discover something I have not seen - the internet is an amazing network! I saw your comment about the numbers of the day - it is also the feast day of Mary Magdalene and a Super Moon, the third one this year and an incredible planetary alignment which forms the Star of David in the sky!!
ReplyDeleteWow, didn't know that! Very cool. Our "stars" really do align!
