CD: Basho's famous 'The Old Pond"

Carpe Diem's Tan Renga Challenge #5

Matsuo Basho's famous haiku:

the old pond
a frog jumps in -
the sound of water

I am to add two lines of seven syllables each to this haiku.
Here is my attempt:

a breeze carries water sprayed
nearby lily pad is cooled

  3. Thank you, all! So intimidating adding to a master's haiku. Interesting how we all managed to go in a different direction or from a different angle on the splash.
