OSI: Demons

One Single Impression ~ Demon

demons within
you placed them in my mind
i thought they were gone
until you died
your evil lived on
you lost
i survived my attempt
and now have healed
your evil now powerless
hell has been waiting
for you and your ilk

  1. This is a sad situation, Maggie. I think you have accuratly portrayed a fairly common situation. More likely more bad man vs. nice woman.

It reminded me of a novel, Drood, written by Dan Simmons. It is his version of what Charles Dicken's unfinished novel, Drood, would tell. A major part of it was when an evil man was introduced who could control ones mind. He actually placed an evil weavil like bug into the person's brain.

    1. Thank you for visiting. The plot of Drood is a good metaphor of what was done to me by the man posing as my father...sadly. Glad its behind me but still comes out in my writing.

  2. Every word carefully chosen, as it should be with poetry. I liked it.
