Easing my way back into writing with mindfulness, introspection, and writing challenges.
ah yes, "being human" expects this of all of us.I wish we all followed it more closely. have a great weekend my friend.
I think about this quote often and you've nailed the proper context: our humanity. Very nicely done :)))
Originally for doctors, this really applies to all of us. Well done.
And the troubling thing is that with modern medicine the third biggest killer is now iatrogenic - doctor or medical induced which is more akin to the Middle Ages than the modern world. Perhaps time to change the science/medicine focus on the body as a machine or a bag of chemicals.
That is so true, Roslyn. Do no harm would eliminate greed but that is a pipedream to think all mankind would conform to being humane. *sigh*
I wish this was followed all of the time ):
Ah yes, good one.
This is a lesson we should all follow.
Harm ye none... very wise. :)
wisdom, pure and simple
If we all followed this, the world would be a better place.
If only more people followed this advice... Great take on the prompt Maggie!
Great one! If everyone followed this we would feel safer and there would be no need for prisons.
One of the pillars of my personal philosophy is to, as best I can, make a positive difference in the lives of others. I view this as the flipside of "do no harm." It isn't always easy to avoid making things worse, even with the best of intentions but, one must keeping trying. Thanks for creating such an important post.
I have even higher hopes but I can see your point
Excellent advice, and a great use of the prompt!
