Easing my way back into writing with mindfulness, introspection, and writing challenges.

LOLing @ Siggi's comment. So true. Lovely imagery.
I didn't have enough syllables for cacophonous orchestra. ;-O

I play the bug symphony by doing the flamenco on them ;-O
Lovely! In small numbers they are quite charming :)
am thinking i should have used song birds. cicadas not so charming. but sounded good in first line. lol
I revised the haiku to reflect the true nature of cicadas. Thanks for the fun feedback to get me to rework it!
A triolet for the Cicadas choir!! :) I hear the noisy locust When Autumn days are hereAnd I cannot be focussedI hear the noisy locustAll through the month of AugustStripping fields across the weirI hear the noisy locust When Autumn days are here:D
:)) Nice!
Very enchanting. Imagery is fabulous.
Nice read :)
Cicadas create quite a raucous symphony on the summer air! Lovely!
wonderful choir indeed. Beautifully done, Maggie Grace :-)
Beyond rauchous!
I know this sound so well:) But they have not sung yet this summer.
Sometimes the choir does get on your nerves a la cacophony but for most part it is a symphony...Beautiful haiku Maggie :)
Your haiku reminds me of when I was a kid. I enjoyed listening to the cicadas. Haven't hear their sound in a long time. Great haiku! :)
Nice haiku! i think I just might be jealous though. I live where we are supposed to get the 17 year cicadas .. I haven't really heard them though.
It is raucous when the screaming starts! Nicely Maggie!Hank

I love falling to sleep to the 'cacophony' .... the image you chose shows nature's paintbrush..
Great description... I guess you learn to hate them....
Raucous indeed! (But I really like them!)
A wonderful haiku Maggie. BTW it doesn't matter that you have used a haiku which you shared also on Haiku Heights, thank you for participating.
