MWM: Set in Stone

Mornings With Mary

During my visit to Sedona in May, this was the view outside The Chapel of the Holy communion with Mary. The center rock formation looks like a woman holding a child. The rock is called The Madonna. This image had the focus on the pink flowers so the rock detail is a bit blurred. I just love it though.

  1. Wow, that rock really does look spiritual. Amazing!

  2. how amazing! The cactus bloom is stunning.

    1. Thank you, Norma! It was a deadly cactus. One woman brushed by it and tons of prickly things kinda shot into her. Ouchy...not deadly. Glad it wasn't me!

  3. Beautiful rock and cactus bloom. You've captured all it's beauty.:)

  4. What a lovely photo, Maggie. I am always photographing cactus blooms myself, especially in Arizona! Thank you for sharing!!

  5. What an evocative photo you took. Sedona is a very, very special place.

  6. Oh MY! Thank you for sharing this wonder!
It is such a treat for me to see places and treasures
that I wouldn't have known about. This is just AWE-some♥♥

  7. i love this apparition in the rocks! i see a woman knelling in prayer, her legs out quite long behind her, her hands clasped, her gaze meeting the edge of heaven.
