The magician's earth, air fire and water where the four humours which Hypocrites postulated formed the four temperaments that directed human behaviour (Melancholic, Choleric, Phlegmatic, Sanguine, ...Jung drew on these and developed them in his work to form Jung's Wheel as I recall I Grace?
Sounds like you know more about Jung than me! His books were so difficult to read. I mostly focused on trying to understand archetypes and inner wisdom. Had to buy a book by someone who dumbed down Jung's writings. Lol. Am intelligent but I understand better with fewer syllables and knowing most of the words. Going to look up Jung's wheel now.
Poets can be magicians in the way they transform the ordinary realm a poetic one.
