Very nice use of the wordle words in your haiku, Maggie!
ReplyDeleteHiaku is a great way to use the words. Enjoyed reading yours.
ReplyDeleteI had written something different but decided to try staying as true to haiku as I could after seeing how beautifully it was done by Wabi Sabi; and Magical Mystery Teacher does his with haiku too. That's the artform of writing I'm most wanting to improve. Thank you for liking it!
ReplyDeleteOr "her." One never knows, does one?
DeleteOMG I was wondering about that! lol. Will that stay mystical? Sorry I remembered you as Magical Mystery (Tour)...
DeleteYour poem evokes old, medieval tales of knighthood and bravery. Nicely written.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI believe I'm partial to the dish the maidens are serving.
ReplyDeleteSee, you can do it! Welcome! We're expecting you back again and again. :)
Getting lost in a soup of fog seems like the last thing one would want during such a dangerous time... then again perhaps the cover is good. I enjoyed your story -in- haiku My First Whirl
ReplyDeleteThank you! They weren't meant to be connected but I guess it could be seen that way. The second is more like a weather report. I'd prefer to see the fog as hiding under cover :))
DeleteAll interesting, but I especially like the first of these. The sense of impending battle and after. K.
ReplyDeleteThis takes me back... I especially like the first one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, manicddaily and Laurie. Your visit and comments are very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI was suddenly transferred to the medieval period in European history. Lovely story of knights in shining armor returning from battle!!

ReplyDeletePerhaps that is where the word dish comes from; to have a sympathetic girl look after you! A great set of haiku.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the fun world of The Sunday Whirl.
ReplyDeleteI just did a whole month of haiku (most followed by a renga) at my small verse place here: http://julesgemstonepages.wordpress.com/
(they were for April 2013)
Please do visit when you have time the whole story. Thank you for your visit - I hope you enjoyed what you read.
How interesting!
ReplyDeleteA month of Blog...
An interesting challenge, which you mastered.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the words for haiku. I often feel lost in a soup of fog! Had to laugh at the comment from Magical Mystical Teacher - the mystery remains!
ReplyDeleteGreat haiku for this prompt. Love the last one.
