Carpe Diem Special #56
We are to write a haiku in the same tone and spirit as this one written by O. Mabson Southard:
In the garden pool,
dark and still, a steppingstone
releases the moon.
My inspired haiku:
a croaking bullfrog
in the moonlit garden pool
singing to no one
Are you SURE there's not a lady frog nearby? :)
ReplyDeleteReleasing the Moon
No one but himself... sweet and a very calm environment! I wish I was that bullfrog.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it that makes the moon need a bullfrog? Love the pairing, Maggie, and the aloneness.
ReplyDeleteoo the singing to no one line really does it for me in this one...
ReplyDeleteNice work :)
ReplyDeleteAh of course it does... but only he knows... great haiku
ReplyDeletehe sings to no one, but we can all hear him....
ReplyDeletepoor thing...well, maybe the moon listens. ☺
ReplyDeleteWell done haiku on Southard's haiku.
