  2. aloha Maggie - that's a very interesting concept in the first line of your second ku "no ancestors to honor". a lot of wondering launches from that and it's all contained in that one line (something i also like). i like too, that this ku makes use of fragment and phrase (imo). aloha.

    1. Reading the history of the celebration, I found it unsettling that ancestors were honored. I was disowned when my memories of abuse surfaced. Don't even know what to call former family. My new family are my kind and loving friends and I do embrace nature :)
